Class Descriptions
WeeSing!
Class is designed to introduce preschool children to the joys of singing and moving to music. A variety of musical modes are used and songs include classic children's song as well as popular tunes and Christian music. The students in this class have the opportunity to sing one song in each KidsSing! show. Children are well prepared to join KidsSing! at age 5.
KidsSing! Kidettes and Juniors
From August-December, team members work on a Christmas show of traditional and contemporary Christmas music that is presented in song and dance in mid-December. From January-May the team works on a spring show centered around a theme. Solos are available to all members on a first-come, first-served basis.
All class material is age-appropriate. There are no auditions necessary to join any class. All team members participate in both shows.
KidsSing! Seniors
New class for junior high students. Class activities will include individual and small group special songs, harmonizing, advanced song/dance combinations, technical aspects of vocalizing, popular tunes in various mixed chorus arrangements. Opportunities to perform outside of class are available and include individual and small group short presentations at various community functions, solo and group special music for church services, and performing with KidsSing!,
Special Opportunities
SOLOISTS WANTED: Interested in singing for an enthusiastic audience? Kids Praise offers opportunities for a single soloist, small groups of singers, or large ensembles to present music at 8:00 a.m. church service. If you want a chance to raise your voice in song, contact Coach Kim to sign up. Short evaluation will be done to enable coach to pick the right song to showcase your ability in the best way possible.
